Many people, particularly from the West,  keep inquiring about the status of women in Pakistan and its sister society – Afghanistan. However, I have found that NGOs, civil society activists, liberal fascists and journalists from here misguide Westerners about the status of our women.

Pakistan: The Revolution Will Not Be Televised
August 22, 2014

What will happen of the revolution if you switch off your TV?

It is happening first time in history of Pakistan that a sitting Punjabi Prime Minister is facing a movement from within Punjab. It is a movement by Punjab to sake a prime minister elected from Punjab. Before this, Punjab either used to rise against prime ministers elected from Sindh or Punjabi prime ministers faced movements against them chiefly from Sindh. But the story of this struggle is different. We may agree or disagree with the objectives, results and prospects of the current movement of Tahir ul Qadri and Imran Khan against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif these days, but we’ll have to agree on the fact that this is very strange development given the political traditions of Pakistan and especially Punjab. A Basic Lesson into Politics: Never Give in Early
September 26, 2012

Zafar Imam

In a frustrated attempt to appease Pakistan’s religious right wing, ruling PPP announced an official day of protest on Friday 21st September, giving Pakistan the credit of becoming the only country in world to officially record protest this way against blasphemous movie. But this act of appeasement backfired, killing 27 innocent people and injuring hundreds. The day witnessed cinemas, banks and vehicles set ablaze and media teams and journalists under attack. A fit of pyromania subjugated the whole country. Thus, Pakistan also ended up becoming the first country in world where huge damage was caused to public property and lives of its own citizens were taken on this single issue. (more…)

Torn Banner of Imran Khan at Hyderabad infront of SRTC Ground

Contrary to many media reports influenced by Imran-o-Phobia, PTI Jalsa in Hyderabad was a plain failure.

Imran Khan – the emerging Tea Partier of Pakistan- held a public meeting (so-called Tsunami) in Hyderabad on 22 June, 2012 which was not more than a small tide. It ran-over to coast, smashed and died. Here I am writing an eye witness account, because I was present in the SRTC ground where it was held. (more…)

The New Universal Declaration of Human Rights of Bourgeois Society – Second Draft
December 10, 2011

By Zafar Imam

PRE-PREAMBLE

Today, on the occasion of International Day of Human Rights, I am reproducing the second draft of Charter of Human Rights of Bourgeois Society. I feel that the organization that passed this declaration – UNO, has itself contributed in the violation of Human Rights along with Imperialism in Africa, Asia, Middle East, Latin America and many other countries in third world. It has become important to redefine what ‘Human Rights’ mean to these imperialists and their supporting organizations. We have seen clear violation of Human Rights such as freedom of expression, freedom of speech, freedom of differing political views in the wake of Occupy Wall Street Movement, Arab Spring and many other Occupy Movements in world in recent days.  Thus, I have here rewritten all the ‘Human Rights’ which an ordinary citizen can have in this age of imperialist capitalist hegemony. PTI Leader Imran Khan

Zafar Imam

He has emerged as a tea partier of Pakistan

The Ghost of Imran Khan, the Pakistan Tehrek – e- Insaaf leader, is haunting many his critics, political opponents, liberal secular democrats and even many leftists after his successful rally at Minar-e-Pakistan in Lahore on October 30, 2011. International and national media gave this rally an overwhelming coverage, which facilitated the break out of shock waves across political circles in Pakistan. The rally was named ‘Azaadi’ (Freedom) and was held at Minar-e-Pakistan in Lahore, a symbol of conservative rightist Pakistani nationalism. (more…)

What would Charles Bukowski say about #occupywallstreet ?

Occuy Wall Street :))

He would have written a poem for it. Were he alive, he could say with quite peculiar style of his own, “Jack! you need to get rid of this shit.” (more…)
